"It is Finished Weekend of Wins"
Why train and participate in a race?
I was never a runner but God wanted to use this experience to create something new in me. My experience produced consistency in my health, satisfaction in my walk with the Lord, and confidence in my God-given abilities.
What one word will describe you when you cross the finish line?
Every finish line I crossed had meaning to it.
My first was with my sister-in-law and produced a deeper relationship. My second was with a group of friends which produced a deeper sense of belonging.
My third race was my 1st marathon experience and I allowed me to heal from past hurts from sexual abuse. My fourth race was with a new friend that flew in to support me in my race and new life goals.
My fifth race was with my sister in Seattle and my most favorite FUN race which produced a re-connection. My sixth race was for my husband building more love and trust for each other.
So, what will your race mean to you?
WOW is all I can say!!! I am so blown away by all that happened this past weekend. I’m so excited for what is next in your life as you use this evidence and renewed confidence
The training to prepare for the half marathon and finishing the race gave me evidence that God does not intend for us to "Go it Alone." When I took that risk to ask for support, I found that I could do something that was never on my radar because I was still living out of that sad, ashamed, wallpaper little girl from my youth. I Finished and am still Glowing! Mandy 60s - 1/2 marathon Finisher
